Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s Poes Garden Residence is all set to be taken over by the state government very soon following the directives of the court. Several assets of Jayalalithaa are being taken over by the government after her conviction in disproportionate assets case.
These properties can be used by the government for its own purpose or may auction them and liquidate. Tamil Nadu government is planning to convert the Poes Garden Residence into a Memorial of the Former Chief Minister. Jayalalithaa‘s daughter-in-law may not get any share in the assets.
If not for AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu, even the memorial would not be possible. On the other side, Tamil Politics continue to be in turmoil post the demise of Jayalalithaa. AIADMK is split into two factions and is fighting for Jayalalithaa’s legacy. As a result, Tamil Politics is wide and open.
