Janasena Party had decided to suspend its lone MLA, Rapaka Varaprasad from the party with immediate effect. Janasena’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) had taken this decision unanimously. This is because Rapaka defied the party’s line and supported the YSR Congress Government’s decision on Three Capitals.
The other day, Pawan Kalyan released an Open-Letter asking Rapaka to tow to the party line in voting against the Three Capitals Bill. But the Razole MLA supported the bill and also specifically mentioned that he is supporting it on the behalf of Janasena Party.
Rapaka was also seen sitting beside Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Assembly and having a cheerful talk. It can be noted that the party also lost the opportunity to get Rapaka disqualified because the voting did not take place by division. Since it happened due to Voice Vote, it can not be considered for the violation of whip.
The suspension means that Rapaka can claim himself to be independent just like Vallabhaneni Vamsi.
