Pawan - Kalyan - Sunil DeodharThe Nominations time for MPTC and ZPTC elections concluded the other day. 660 ZPTCs and 9639 MPTC will go for the elections. YSR Congress leads in the number of nominations for MPTCs with a whopping 23,120 nominations while the Opposition TDP Party comes second with 18,242 nominations.

Multiple candidates have filed nominations in many places. They will have to withdraw. The candidate with the official B-Form from the party will remain as the party’s candidate. It is interesting to note that Janasena only managed 2027 candidates while its alliance partner, BJP had 1,816.

That means both the parties together are not even half of what TDP which is in shambles managed to. Both the parties could not even contest to all the MPTCs. That indicates the lack of grass-root level machinery for both the parties in Andhra Pradesh. And they have to go a long way to become a significant force in AP Politics.

Political Observers say that the Ruling YSR Congress Party may be in for a huge victory in these polls as voters tend to support the ruling parties in such elections. The elections wherever necessary will take place on the 21st of this month and the results will be out on the same day.
