Mathukumilli Sri Bharat, the son-in-law of Nandamuri Balakrishna contested for Vishakapatnam Parliament but lost with a minor margin due to a three-way contest.
Sri Bharat has concentrated more on his businesses but at the same time, organized some programs to connect with the youth and educated voters.
Bharat is interested to contest once again for Vishakapatnam Parliament.
But after the elections, TDP appointed Bharat as the incharge of Vishakapatnam South after Vasupalli Ganesh ditched the party.
Sources say that Janasena is keen on getting Vishakapatnam Parliament in case there is an alliance with TDP. In such a case, Bharat may have to make a sacrifice.
Hence, Chandrababu Naidu set aside the Vishakapatnam South constituency as well. But then, we are told that Bharat is interested only in going to Parliament.
Vishaka North is also an option since sitting MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao is looking to shift to Bheemili.
But there are reports that Janasena is interested in Vishaka North, Yalamanchili, and Pendurthi constituencies.
So the clarity about Bharat’s seat may come only after there is clarity on the TDP – Janasena alliance.
In such a case, Bharat’s seat will not be finalized until the last minute just like in the case of the 2019 elections.
