Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is suddenly going to Delhi. The Chief Minister who is mostly Confined to his Camp Office during the Pandemic has surprised everyone with this sudden tour. The timing of the tour also has some strange coincidences.
It comes at the time when MP Raghu Rama Krishanam Raju has written a letter to all the MPs in the country about the third degree violence inflicted on him in the CID custody. Also, Raju’s Petition in the CBI Court for Jagan’s Bail Revocation has come to the trial stage.
Jagan’s administration also failed to evoke any response for the Global Tenders to procure COVID vaccines. He is under tremendous pressure from the Opposition for failing to vaccinate the state at a brisk pace. The Central Government has also returned a few bills of Polavaram project saying that it would not fund the project beyond 20,000 Crore.
That would mean a dead-end for the project which is the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh. So, Jagan’s Delhi trip gives rise to multiple questions and all the reasons seem to be politically crucial, experts opine.
