Jagan_MLCJagan Mohan Reddy makes tall claims about social justice or Samajika Nyayam. But it is always been evident how Reddy Rajyam is prevalent in Andhra Pradesh ever since Jagan came to power in 2019.

Jagan finalized the five candidates for the upcoming MLC elections in Andhra Pradesh. Out of the five candidates, four belong to the Reddy community and the fifth candidate is also an Upper Caste (Brahmin).

That means there is no single seat to the Backward communities. Eight MLC seats under local bodies’ quota are also going to elections. YSR Congress will sweep all these seats. Reddys will take the major pie in these seats as well.

The elections will be held on March 13 for eight local authorities’ constituencies, three graduates’ and two teachers’ constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.

Notifications for these elections will be issued on February 16. The last date for filing nominations will be February 23. The nominations will be taken up for scrutiny the next day. The last date for withdrawal of nominations will be February 27.

Polling will be held on March 13. The counting of votes will be taken up on March 16.
