YS_Jagan_Deccan_Chronicle_pro_governmentYS Jagan Mohan Reddy who does not face media except for his Sakshi and that too in extraordinary times gave an interview to Deccan Chronicle which is perceived as pro-government.

Two Senior editors of the Newspaper were summoned to the Camp office and the interview was done.

The Chief Minister was asked about why the Special Status and other bifurcation promises were not kept despite having a good relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Not just the Special Category Status, but every promise made to us in Parliament, I am keeping it alive. I will never let it get buried. Whenever I meet leaders in Delhi, I make a request for clearance of all pending issues. It is taking time but we have to continue to push and keep it alive. I hope and pray that my sincere efforts will soften their hearts. Or we have to be patient for a change in the political situation,” Jagan said.

“Every word in the statement is a testimony of how leaders hoodwink the people. The words – Keeping it alive, Never let it get buried, make a request, hope and pray, soften their hearts – are all the words of the weak and deceit,” TDP leaders are saying.

They say it is in complete contrast to what Jagan claimed to do before the 2019 elections.

“If what Jagan is doing is keeping Special Status alive, Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts back then were 1000 times even better. No one will buy these arguments after winning 151 assemblies and 22 Parliament seats. Jagan, in fact, is only killing the Special Status and all issues and will ensure they do not survive beyond 2024,” they add.
