Jagan To Revisit His Decision For The First Time?YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Government in Andhra Pradesh massively increased the prices of Liquor in the name of dissuading Tipplers from the drinking habit. But that has led to unexpected consequences. As the poor who can not afford the prices are drinking sanitizers and losing their lives as a result.

So far, 40 people have died in Andhra Pradesh after consuming sanitizer and surgical spirit in place of alcohol. A similar incident in Tirupati this morning left four dead. Also, the high prices of Liquor in AP is giving rise to smuggling and the usage of spurious liquor which is even more dangerous.

This has prompted the Government to rethink its strategy. The Government is thinking on the lines to rationalize the Liquor Prices in the state to some extent. The opposition is becoming very critical about the Government on this issue and very soon, the cabinet will make a decision on the Prices.

The Prices of Cheap Liquor which is mostly consumed by the Poor are likely to come down. This may be the first time the Government has revisited its own decision without the involvement of the courts.
