Jagan To Convince Modi and Shah About Capital ChangeThe High Power Committee which will be appointed by the State Government will study the GN Rao Committee Report and BCG Report to table its final recommendations about the Three Capitals idea. A Special Assembly session may be convened towards the end of January to pass the three capitals resolution.

Meanwhile, once the High Power Committee submits its report to the Government, the Chief Minister will go to Delhi and appraise the situation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He will explain to them the reason for this decision and why he could not continue Amaravati as the capital.

This is to ensure that the Central Government also co-operates with Capital Change. The other day, BJP State President, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana did a silent protest in Amaravati against the Government’s decision. BJP MP and former Union Minister, Sujana Chowdary met President, Ramnath Kovind and complained against the Capital Change decision.

If these are to be taken as indications, it will not be easy for the Chief Minister to convince Modi and Shah.
