andhra blame gameAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be handling the Corona crisis failures in a political way. At a review meeting, Jagan targeted Bharat Biotech, the makers of Covaxin, and cast aspirations to the promotors.

He hinted about a conspiracy in the shortage of Vaccine supply to Andhra Pradesh since Bharat Biotech is owned by Krishna Yella is related to Eenadu group chairman Ch Ramoji Rao (the media baron’s granddaughter is married to Krishna Yella’s son).

He further asked the party leaders to explain to the people about the modus-operandi of the Opposition. Later, he dashed a letter to Prime Minister Narendra to thwart the vaccine monopoly. He asked the Prime Minister to revoke the license and transfer the vaccine formula to all pharma companies.

“In a bid to score a point against Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan is doing a grave mistake here. He is pushing Andhra Pradesh in the bad books of Bharat Biotech which is key for India’s fight against Coronavirus. This comes at the time when all the Chief Ministers are trying to please the Vaccine companies and get as many doses as possible,” experts say.

“This is like burning a bridge when it is the only way to cross a river and the river should be crossed at any cost. Revoking Vaccine licenses and patents is not child play. Furthermore, this will also create a very bad impression of AP to the investors. This is like keeping the entire Andhra Pradesh at risk. The virus will not wait until you get a company convenient to deal with.,” they add.

“There is nothing like relations for a businessman. Remember how Daggubati Purandeshwari and Daggubati Venkateswara Rao had cordial relations with late YSR even though they are related to Chandrababu. YS kept them on his side giving them a better deal (Purandeshwari was the central minister in UPA Government). Jagan may also give Krishna Yella an irresistible offer and bring him to his side,” they say.
