Jagan Takes Potshots Chandrababu Naidu in His Maiden Assembly SpeechChief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in his maiden speech on the floor of Andhra Pradesh Assembly took a jibe on the previous TDP Government for encouraging defections. He went on to say that the previous Speaker and Leader of the House is an example of how they should not be while he and the current speaker will set an example of how they should be.

He also alleged that God taught Chandrababu Naidu a lesson for poaching 23 MLAs and 3 MPs from his party and now TDP is left with only 23 MLAs and 3 MPs. “The Speaker did not disqualify those who changed parties, the people have disqualified the party which encouraged defections,” Jagan ridiculed.

Jagan also revealed that he was advised to poach a few MLAs from TDP and deny Opposition Status to Chandrababu Naidu but he did not do that respecting morals and values. “If I did that, there will be no difference between me and them. I will take only if someone comes to me resigning as MLA,” Jagan declared in the house.

The Chief Minister also urged the Speaker to mercilessly disqualify any member if they defected even to his party without resigning.
