Jagan Started 'The Game' Over Ticket Rates Issue! It looks like Andhra Pradesh Government is not in the mood of resolving the ticket prices issue any sooner. The High Court is hearing the government’s appeal over the single judge’s striking down G.O. No. 36 which sets the ticket prices shockingly low.

The petition has come to hearing today and for the second time, Andhra Pradesh Government has sought more time to file an affidavit. The government has informed the court that it has appointed a committee and will file an affidavit after getting the committee’s report.

The court accepted and the next hearing of the case has been postponed to February 10th. After filing the affidavit, the arguments will begin and that means the issue will be in court for a while. Industry folks believe the government is intentionally delaying the matter in court so as not to address it in the near future.

“This seems like a Game. The government may seek more time in the name of the committee and its reports,” industry folks doubt. The biggies are getting postponed anyway due to the Omicron scare. The industry will hope that the issue will get resolved by the time the third wave subsides.
