CS LV Subramanyam - YS jaganCiting severe financial issues, Andhra Pradesh Government had stalled various Projects worth 1000s of Crores. Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam issued notes to all the departments to stall the works. The government will review all the Projects and take a decision to continue or cancel them.

Some Projects will have new tenders via Reverse Tendering Process if necessary. The Chief Secretary also clarified that the works which were approved before April 1st and were not started till now will stand canceled. Also, such works which have registered less than 25% progress will be reviewed.

All the departments were asked not to make any payments until further instructions. As of now, government priority is totally on giving salaries and pensions. So, the funds are being mobilized towards those bills and the government has cut down other expenses with this move.

Also, Jagan so far has only taken a decision on Pensions increase. The Chief Minister will also find a way to implement his other promises in his Manifesto and so, the government priorities are being changed and the administration will reflect that. The clarity about it may emerge only when the government puts up a budget towards the end of the next month.
