Jagan Sets A Bad Example, Andhra Pradesh Youth in Trouble The legislation brought up by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy mandating 75% Jobs to the Locals in Private firms has created a huge uproar in the business circles. There were apprehensions that this legislation will impact the chances of new investments in the state. Now to play to their vote banks, ruling parties in the other states are mulling to bring same law.

The Neighboring Karnataka government is in the process of drafting legislation that will mandate 75% reservations for locals in various sectors, including private industries. Locals do not mean people who are born in Karnataka but are people who live in Karnataka for 15 years. And they should also read and write Kannada.

This will have a huge implication on the Telugu Youth who go to Bengaluru for jobs. 15 years in Karnataka will rule out the chances of jobs for the freshers. They are unlikely to reside in Karnataka for 15 years prior to job search. Moreover, they should learn Kannada along with that.

Karnataka is a major IT market and has a huge Telugu Population working there. If this legislation becomes true, the market is gone. It is said that Jagan had inspired the Government there on this front.
