Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who is embarking on a Padayatra from November 6th sought permission for the walkathon from Andhra Pradesh Police. DGP Samba Siva Rao a few days ago clarified that taking Permissions is necessary for any Padayatra in the state.
Earlier, the Police have not allowed Mudragada’s Padayatra for not taking Permission. Initially, YSR Congress does not want to take Permission as it is a Prestige issue. But finally, after brainstorming they have decided to seek permission.
In his letter to the DGP, Jagan sought the permission. “The Padayatra will go on for about Seven months. Very soon, the roadmap for the Padayatra will be given to the Police. I request to ensure proper protection for the Yatra,” Jagan wrote.
