Opposition Leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the starting of Padayatra from November 2nd. He will be covering 3000 Kilometers distance on foot starting from Idupulapaya to Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district via Chittoor.
While Jagan is undertaking his Padayatra, all the party MLAs and constituency in-charges of YSR Congress will be visiting all the colleges and will be educating them about the Special Status issue. After that as a last resort, YSR Congress MPs will resign, Jagan announced.
Jagan’s Padayatra will complete only in April 2018. Even if they resign immediately, it will be just one year before the General Elections. There is no guarantee that Speaker will accept the resignations immediately. Even after that, the by-elections may or may not come as there is very little time before the General Elections.
Will the MPs resign is also a big question that spending huge money for a one year term absolutely makes no sense. So, TDP Leaders say this Resignations drive will be just a drama by the Opposition Leader to score some political points in the people.
