Jagan Refuses to Commit on Amaravati as the Capital YS Jagan Mohan Reddy refused to commit on continuing Amaravati as the Capital of Andhra Pradesh if voted to Power. A few days ago, the party’s Manifesto Committee Chairman, Ummareddy Venkateswarulu went on record saying that Amaravati will remain as the Capital and the party will commit to it in the Manifesto.

Jagan released the Manifesto the other day but it makes no mention about any such commitment. Jagan is giving interviews to a few National Media Channels for the last few days and when asked the same question is not answering it straight to the Point. He is taking at length about Insider Trading, Binami Land Purchases, and forcible land pooling etc.

He is indirectly saying that the Capital can not be continued given so many scams (according to YSR Congress). This will be a death blow to Andhra Pradesh as a lot of investment went in to the Capital so far and starting it from the scratch means a massive expenditure. The Land Prices in the Capital Region will fall down all of sudden destroying several families.

YSR Congress Manifesto makes no mention about Jagan’s Vision for the Capital. Several Leaders of YSR Congress have invested in Donakonda before 2014 Elections with an intention of making it the capital. Jagan may vote for it so as to benefit his leaders. This factor will also play a crucial role when people go out to vote on 11th of this month.
