Jagan's War on Judiciary - What Legal Experts Say!Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had decided not to contest the GHMC elections. YSR Congress cruised to a Sensational Victory in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections. That should motivate YSR Congress to take the ground in the GHMC area where the settlers from Andhra Pradesh are in majority in several wards.

But then, Jagan tried to play safe not to offend TRS which helped him in the last elections, and as well as BJP which may Fastrack the pending cases on him. The party announced not contesting the elections. It has also decided not to spell support to any party in the event of maintaining friendly relations with TRS as well as BJP.

Interestingly, Jagan’s Arch-Rival, Chandrababu’s TDP is contesting the elections independently. TDP had announced the first list of 90 candidates last night. The party announced contesting all the 150 wards. The time for the nominations will lapse at 3 PM today.

The polling for the GHMC elections will happen on December 1st and the results will be announced on December 4th,
