There are several allegations on the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government for being supporting Religious Conversions. Only a couple of days ago, there is a National-Wide Top Trend #SaveHindusFromJaganReddy which indicates the Opposition’s strategy in cornering the Ruling Party.
But then, the Government seems to be not bothered. The State Government a little while ago issued a GO increasing the Financial assistance to Christians with an annual income of less than Rs 3 lakhs for the pilgrimage to Jerusalem & other Biblical places, increased from Rs 40,000 to Rs 60,000.
The Government also increased the Financial assistance to other Christian pilgrims from Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000. The Government already announced a stipend of Rs 5000 to the Christian Pastors which also raked a huge controversy back then.
YS Family is converted to Christianity several years ago. So, the community stood firmly behind YSR and Jagan. So, Jagan Reddy is keen on helping them in all possible ways and in the process, it will help him consolidate their support.
