YSR Congress had faced its first defeat in major elections in the form of Municipal elections whose results are out on Monday. Jagan owned channel Sakshi and other funded channels faced a tough day in office trying to defend the party’s loss in the election. Most of the day, the channels spent time discussing about Congress completely disappearing from Congress and few constituencies where YSR Congress managed few wins.
The mouth piece channels have tougher times to explain TDP winning four out of seven constituencies in Kadapa district which is said to be the fortress of YSR Congress party. So much is dependent on today’s result of MPTC and ZPTCs. YSR Congress has tried to defend that it is weak in Urban areas and is strong in rural areas. A size-able lead in MPTC/ZPTC elections will only help the morale of YSR Congress cadre and its leaders high till May 16th, the counting day.
