Andhra Pradesh Assembly will take up the issue of Roja’s Suspension on Monday. The Privileges Committee had recommended a suspension of one year for abusing TDP MLA Anitha in the Assembly. Roja went on to say that she will not apologize and in such case, she may be prepared for one more suspension.
Earlier, Roja wrote a letter to the Speaker that she is ready to ask apologies to Anitha unconditionally. She along with some YSR Congress MLAs handed over the letter directly to the Speaker but then Roja is declining to apologize now. Sources say that this is a game plan of Jagan now.
Jagan wants her to get suspended and then play victim card so that people will feel sympathy for her and the party. The Opposition Leader wants to use the issue to corner TDP government with this issue. But then, Roja is being made a scapegoat in the whole episode.
One Year Suspension for an MLA will mean that he/she had to forego all the monetary and protocol benefits an MLA is entitled to. Forgoing Protocol Benefits will mean that the MLA will have no hold on the officials in the district and constituency. Jagan’s Game Plan will put Roja in trouble in the constituency as elections are just two years away.
