YSR Congress Party due to its flawed strategy towards Amaravati has become weak in Krishna and Guntur districts. Jagan is very much aware of that and is keen on making amends. For that, he is keen on bringing former Vijayawada MP, Lagadapati Rajagopal into the party.
Lagadapati who was very vocal about Samayikya Andhra movement retired from active politics after Telangana is granted. He did not even contest in 2014 elections. Buzz in the YSR Congress circles is that Jagan wants to bring Lagadapati into the party and field him in Mylavaram constituency against Water Resources Minister, Devineni Uma.
Sakshi media is also sending the similar feelers about that from the last couple of days. Lagadapati was once a staunch follower of YS Rajasekhara Reddy but never really looked like he is keen on joining forces with Jagan. But then in politics, nothing is impossible.
