Jagan Has No Commitment Towards Capital Amaravati?A report by Andhrabhoomi suggests that the first Budget of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will have meager allocations for Amaravati. Around 40000 Crore works are in progress in Amaravati, another 4200 worth works are in Tenders Stage, and tenders for another 7600 Crore Works are to be called.

The report quoting sources say that the State Government is only proposing to allot 340 Crore for Amaravati Construction which indicates that all the ongoing works will come to a standstill. On the other side, there are rumors that the government will vacate the interim secretariat in Velagapudi.

The plan is to have the secretariat near Nagarjuna University in Guntur. This meager allocation will further fuel the speculations of the Capital Change and the Real Estate in Amaravati will plummet further. Needless to say, the farmers who gave lands for the Capital will be severely affected.

YSR Congress Supporters in Social Media are defending the actions of the Chief Minister saying that Jagan did not give any commitment regarding Amaravati and the government will have other priorities. But then, the big question is that “Is Having A Capital Not A Commitment to Any Government?”.
