When in Opposition, YSR Congress used to allege that Chandrababu Naidu is centralizing the development in Amaravati ignoring other districts. In the name of decentralization, YS Jagan brought out the idea of three capitals.
But then, it looks like Jagan Government is now doing the same mistake as Chandrababu, Political experts say. The State Government obviously asked NITI Aayog to allocate some funds to Vishakapatnam for losing Hyderabad as the Capital.
NITI Aayog has recommended the center to allot 1400 Crore for the same (Just a Recommendation as of now). “If Jagan Government is sincere about decentralization, it would not have asked the funds only for Vishakapatnam which is already a developed city,” TDP alleges.
“Why is that the funds are not sought for other two capital cities? Why are the funds not sought for backward Srikakulam and Vizianagaram?” they add.
