Jagan Government in Two Minds About Early Local Polls?Reliable sources in the Andhra Pradesh Government tells us that the Ruling Party is in two minds about conducting the local elections. Usually, ruling parties will conduct these elections immediately after winning as the morale of the Opposition will be at an all-time low which gives them a chance to win maximum seats.

Moreover, the entire official machinery will support the ruling party and voters will not risk giving a divided opinion between the Assembly elections and the local elections. After winning 151 out of the 175 seats, it should be a no-brainer decision for the Jagan Government to conduct the elections as soon as possible.

But then, we are told that the Ruling Party is in two minds. Even though the cadre is brimming with confidence, there is an opinion that Jagan is yet to get a grip on the administration. Various issues like Sand Policy, Power Cuts, etc have got bad name for the Government.

So, YSR Congress is worrying if that will backfire on them in the election.
