Jagan Gets Temporary Relief from Court AppearancesAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy approached the High Court seeking exemption from court appearances in the disproportionate assets cases. This is after the CBI and ED courts refused exemption. The petition came to hearing in the court today.

However, the counsel representing CBI sought more time to file their counter. The court gave them time till February 6th and posted the next hearing of the case to that day. The lawyer representing Jagan asked the court for interim relief in court appearances.

The court told him that they can inform the CBI court about the petition pending in the court and seek exemption. In his petition, Jagan went on to say that he is busy with his responsibilities as the Chief Minister and could not attend the court every Friday.

He also informed the court that his every week Hyderabad visit is a huge financial burden to the state which is already suffering from the severe financial crunch. It is known to our readers that the High Court previously reject the exemption petition of Jagan during his Padayatra.
