MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has met Union Home Minister Amit Shah two times in the last two months. After the meeting, AP CMO released a press note saying that the Chief Minister has urged the Home Minister to approve the revised estimates of the Polavaram Project.

YSR Congress MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy took up the issue in Parliament today. “Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met Union Home Minister on January 19th and February 19th urging to approve the revised estimates of Polavaram. We hope the Central Government does the needful,” the MP said.

Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Rattan Lal Kataria told the house that the Center did not get any such memorandum from the Chief Minister and so, there is no such proposal pending with the center regarding Polavaram.

“It looks like the meetings between Jagan and Amit Shah are political meetings regarding his own cases. But the CMO routinely sent some message to the press. But then, Jagan’s own MP exposed it in the Parliament,” TDP leaders ridicule.
