Like every year for Christmas, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is touring his own constituency, Pulivendula, and is busy with various inaugurations and stone-laying ceremonies. On this occasion, he expressed his disappointment about the lack of co-operation from the farmers.
He lamented that farmers are not giving lands and land acquisition problems are delaying the projects. But then, social media folks are mocking the Chief Minister for this situation. “No farmer would trust you with their lands. We have seen how Amaravati farmers are suffering,” they say.
“Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has broken the trust of the farmers forever. Going forward no farmer will trust the Government and part with lands. Already land acquisition is difficult in the country. This will make things more difficult. Land pooling, on the other side, is a gone case,” political observers say.
On the first Christmas after coming to power, Jagan Mohan Reddy had laid the foundation stone for Kadapa Steel Plant and three lift irrigation projects which did not move an inch so far. So, the locals are not very happy about the Chief Minister’s Christmas promises.
