Nandamuri Taraka Ratna’s final rites are going to happen today evening. His mortal remains were placed in the Film Chamber for visitation of fans. Vijayasai Reddy and Nandamuri Balakrishna were along with the body taking care of everything.
They were also seen in the ambulance when the mortal remains were shifted from Taraka Ratna’s home to Film Chamber. Taraka Ratna’s wife Alekhya Reddy is the daughter of Vijayasai Reddy’s wife’s sister. In a way, Alekhya Reddy is Sai Reddy’s daughter and Taraka Ratna is his son-in-law.
Vijayasai Reddy kept politics away and visited Taraka Ratna in the hospital and now is taking care of everything till the final rites. He is seen talking and receiving people even political opponents like Chandrababu and Balakrishna.
He also thanked Balakrishna profusely for staying with the family in thick and thin and also for promising to take care of Taraka Ratna’s children. For those who know Sai Reddy’s cut-throat politics, this is a surprise but he seems to be keeping the family above politics at least now.
That also says how Taraka Ratna’s family is important to Sai Reddy.
But Jagan did not spare Vijayasai Reddy too at this difficult time. We have seen YSR Congress trying to use Taraka Ratna’s death for political gains.
Lakshmi Parvathi was sent to the media to say Taraka Ratna was spot-dead at Lokesh’s Padayatra but the news was hidden until now to save Lokesh’s image.
This is even as Vijayasai Reddy saw Taraka Ratna in the hospital days after the incident. YSR Congress social media and I-PAC picked up this allegation of Lakshmi Parvathi and were trying to score political points.
In this hour of grief, such comments will be so traumatic for the family. It will be an embarrassment for Vijayasai Reddy when his family feels his own party did not trust his word and is hurting them at this hour.
“That is the kind of politics Jagan believes in. He does not spare even his own men. He should have behaved gracefully and even visit Taraka Ratna’s mortal remains to support Vijayasai Reddy and his family,” TDP leaders say.
