Vijayasai Reddy, Sujana Chowdary, TG Venkatesh, and Suresh Prabhu – the four MPs of Rajya Sabha will be retiring by June 21st. The schedule for the election of these seats will be out in the last week of February or early March. All the four will go to the Ruling YSR Congress.
Except for Vijayasai Reddy, no others have a chance of reelection. Meanwhile, there is an intense competition in YSR Congress for these seats. Buzz is that Government Advisor Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy may get one seat from the remaining three.
Meanwhile, there is a buzz that Jagan will have to accommodate a BJP recommended candidate for one of the seats. The candidate will be an industrialist from the North India. Previously also, Jagan gave one seat on BJP’s recommendation.
He is Parimal Nathwani, a right-hand man of Ambani. BJP will make a similar recommendation of some industrialist who if given a Rajya Sabha seat from the Saffron party can be a problem. There is a discussion about why is relenting to the pressure of BJP. “Because of CBI Cases. There is no other way for him,” alleges TDP Supporters.
