Times Now News Channel had conducted an investigative operation on a suitcase company named Hingora Finvest. The company registered at dubious addresses with their promoters untraceable invested huge amounts in the companies of three politicians. The names involved are Anand Kumar, brother of BSP Chief Mayawati, Chhagan Bhujbal of NCP and over own, Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The company has 0.8% stake in Aakriti Hotels Pvt Ltd and two other suitcase companies that hold equity stakes in Aakriti are under the scanner of CBI and ED for holding large equity shareholding in Jagan’s Jagati Publications which runs Sakshi.
Hingora invested about 4.75 Crore in Jagati Publications. None of the addresses of these companies are true and when asked about the locals, they claim they have never heard of companies existing in their localities. These politicians are allegedly using shell companies to round-trip cash and bypass the tax system.
Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh elections in the next two months, the news about BSP Supremo, Mayawati’s brother is hogging national headlines. Along with him is Opposition Leader in Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Jagan Mohan Reddy and Chhagan Bhujbal who is already in jail.
