Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been inaugurating various government schemes in districts and is addressing Public meetings there.
These meetings have become important with elections just two years to go and the Chief Minister for some reason is not interested in going to the people.
Today he has released the funds of Rythu Bharosa at a Public meeting in Ganapavaram, Eluru district.
These Public meetings and visits of the Chief Minister are becoming hell for the locals. Strict measures in being put in place by the Police so as to avoid any dissent or protests before the Chief Minister.
In Ganapavaram today, all shops and commercial establishments were forcibly closed and huge fences were installed before the shops and houses using long iron rods all along the way the CM convoy travels.
Police personnel of the district and neighboring districts were brought and deployed on either sides of the roads.
The buses, autos, and other vehicles are not being allowed into the village. Locals are struggling big time as a result.
“Never before in the past we have seen such arrangements for a CM or a VIP visit. It is as if our village has become a war zone or a conflict zone. If the Chief Minister wants to connect with the people with these visits, this is certainly not the way to do,” locals say.
