Jagan_Dissenting_MLAThe significant sign of anti-incumbency in a Ruling Party is dissent or loose talk from its own leaders. MLAs did not utter a word against the Chief Minister for more than three and a half years despite being made dummies in the constituencies.

The problem is rampant in the constituencies like Atmakur, Nellore Rural, and Mylavaram constituencies.

Jagan appointed a new incharge to Atmakur removing Anam Rama Narayana Reddy and appointing Nedurumilli Ram Kumar Reddy. Anam who is not happy with YSRCP recently said it is very difficult to win in the coming elections.

Another MLA from Nellore Rural, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy is also making comments against the Government and officials. He recently made comments against the removal of pensions. Sridhar Reddy was summoned to Tadepalli and asked for an explanation. Buzz is that he will not be given the ticket as well. MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy’s wife Prashanthi Reddy is likely to be given a ticket.

In Mylavaram, Vasantha Krishna Prasad is making Pro-TDP comments here. The other day, he spoke in support of Vuyyuru Srinivas who is arrested in the case of the stampede at the Guntur TDP event. Buzz is that Vasantha may be denied a ticket and Jogi Ramesh may contest from here.

A Senior Minister like Dharamana Prasada Rao said he is not interested in contesting in 2024 but Jagan is insisting on contesting.

Jagan is trying to suppress the dissent by denying tickets to those who are unhappy. There is no effort to address the problems of the MLAs.

MLAs will very soon realize that they have no value in the Government and can be replaced at will. Kotamreddy was a strong voice for Jagan for years. Vasantha went against his own community to support Jagan. Anam was a close confidante of Late YSR. But nothing changed and Jagan did not even try to understand their problems.

The dissenting voices will grow in days to come and changing the candidates is not the solution.
