Jagan Brininging Three Capitals Bills In AugustAndhra Pradesh Government is gearing up for the monsoon season assembly session. The government plans to convene the assembly around the third week of August.

There is a plan behind this timing. The current Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana will retire on August 26th, 2022.

We all know that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy perceives NV Ramana as Chandrababu Naidu’s man. He believes the CJI will stall all his efforts in the Supreme Court.

We have seen several attempts to malign the judiciary by Jagan in the past.

The government will table the bills related to the three capitals and decentralization in that session once NV Ramana retires. Hence, the session is planned accordingly.

Earlier in March, the government withdrew all the bills saying that it will bring them in better form after broader consultations and consensus.

But there has been no such attempt in all these months.

So, Jagan Government is trying to bring the bills once again and bulldoze the house with brute force as it has the majority and Chandrababu Naidu will not be in the house.

While the plan is good, Jagan may be missing a point. The principles of natural justice are in favor of Amaravati.

It is an illusion that Chandrababu is twisting the arm of the judiciary in favor of Amaravati.

In all probability, the same judgment that NV Ramana may have given would be given by another CJI.

Only the time will get wasted but that may be the ploy of the government to push the issue to the next term.
