In the last hour of Andhra Pradesh Assembly Winter Session, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy hinted about the state going to have three capitals, probably in the three regions – Coastal Andhra, Uttarandhra, and Rayalaseema in the name of Decentralization of Development.
Interestingly, Rajya Sabha MP who joined BJP from TDP, TG Venkatesh hinted about the three capitals formula five months ago. But no one believed him and even mocked him saying it is a Thuglaq idea. But in the end, TG Venkatesh had the last laugh.
This also means that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy had already informed the Central Government of his Capital idea. The big question is if the Central Government will agree and co-operate with this. BJP State President Kanna Lakshmi Narayana strongly criticized the idea.
Meanwhile, there is a divide opinion about this idea from the common public as well.
