Jagan Already Searching Reasons For Crucial Scheme Failure?Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been busy writing letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi these days. The latest letter is regarding the housing for poor project. The Chief Minister has sought 34,104 Crore Rupees to incorporate the creation of basic infrastructure in greenfield colonies.

He sought this as a part of assistance given to state governments under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) program. This letter comes as a surprise because the Modi Government is trying to evade its responsibility from Polavaram Project which is mandated by the AP Reorganization Act passed in the parliament.

If the Modi Government is not keen on executing its responsibility as mandated by the Parliament, there is no way it can go the extra mile to help Jagan’s scheme. “This is just a way to find an escape route, the housing project will never complete. And Jagan would make Modi’s lack of co-operation as the reason before asking for votes in 2024,” TDP criticizes.

“We already saw how the plots given under the scheme get flooded in rains at many places. In some places, they are too far from the villages and the beneficiaries could not even live there. This scheme would just remain on paper to boast about the numbers,” TDP adds. The Chief Minister was supposed to visit Delhi on Monday but the Ministers he was supposed to meet did not give him the appointment citing their busy schedule.
