It is known to our readers that Andhra Pradesh High Court recently canceled the Pre-Closure Notification and also asked the Government not to go about the Re-tenders of the Project. The high court opined that there is no merit in the Government’s arguments about the Pre-Closure notification.
But then, the government is leaving no option to ensure Navayuga exits from the Project. The State Cabinet today canceled the tenders of Navayuga and also gave its nod to the Re-tendering of the Hydel Project. The cabinet also ordered for the recovery of advances given to the contractor.
Legal experts say that this will amount to contempt of the court. The government may have to appeal the Single Judge order before the High Court Divisional Bench to go forward in this issue. Meanwhile, the State Cabinet also canceled the lease of 412.5 acres land belong to Machilipatnam Port.
Interestingly, this also belongs to Navayuga Engineering Company. On the other side, the sources in Navayuga Engineering company say that the Chief Minister is resorting to Vendetta Politics as they have earlier withdrawn from Vanpic Project while the CBI investigation is going on him way back in 2012.
