A group of enthusiastic Software professionals formed in to a group called ‘Nava Sevak’ and are involved in the beautification of Hyderabad city. The group is said to have inspired by Narendra Modi’s Swatch Bharat campaign. Nava Sevaks fix a spot and time in Hyderabad and paint the grey walls with lively illustrations.
They are targeting Flyovers, walls of government buildings and other public places which become most easy victims of free advertising posters, pamphlets and some times love letters too. While some members of the team are busy making the walls colourful, remaining educate people around the area about the importance of cleanliness.
Interestingly many members of this group are not friends outside. The initiative and spot is being spread online and enthusiastic people come out to the spot and volunteer for the cleanliness drive. They are making use of social networking sites like Facebook to reach out to more people.
