Andhra Pradesh is the common face at the World Economic Forum meets in Davos every year during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime. Naidu used to go there every year and make a strong pitch for the investors across the globe to come and invest in Andhra Pradesh. The state had seen significant amounts of investments as a result.
However, with the change of the Government, there is no representation of the State Government in Davos this time. Forget about the Chief Minister, even the state did not have anyone representing it. Senior Politician, Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy reveals the reason for Jagan skipping Davos.
“Jagan wanted to go for Davos but the thing is that he can not do that without the permission of the courts. His passport is in the court and it will be released only when the court agrees. Even though the CM holds a diplomatic passport, it is of no use. So, Jagan skipped Davos to avoid the embarrassment of asking permission,” Byreddy said.
