Is It Necessary For Pawan Kalyan To Take Pro-Kapu StanceJanasena President Pawan Kalyan sat with the representatives of Kapu Sankshema Sena on Friday and discussed with them about various problems being faced by the community and steps to be taken to address them. Pawan Kalyan went on to say Kapus should be in a position to command but not beg (Shasinche Sthithilo undali Yachinche Sthithi lo Kadhu).

It is quite common for political parties to attend community related events and make relevant speeches. But Pawan Kalyan made things different for him as he tried to portray himself as not confined to a single caste. Except for contesting in two Kapu dominated constituencies, he never did anything to relate him to the community.

So, this meeting itself has come as a surprise to everyone including his supporters. Moreover, the statement ‘Shasinche Sthithilo undali Yachinche Sthithi lo Kadhu’ implies Pawan Kalyan indirectly indicating they should be united and their population will necessarily put them in commanding position.

It looks more as Pawan Kalyan’s bid to impress the community and thus he made a bid for their support. It is evident that he is doing this for the upcoming Tirupati By-election and Panchayat elections. However, expectations are very less on both the elections on the part of Janasena. The party may not even contest in Tirupati. With lack of groundlevel organization, it is a doubt how the party fares in Panchayat elections. And that brings us to the question if it is needed for Pawan Kalyan to risk his image for these elections.
