There are heavy joinings in Telugu Desam from Congress in the Seema Andhra region from the past few days. It is like almost there is no strong leader for Congress except Botsa Satya Narayana in the region. However TDP fans are not too happy with this development. Chandra Babu is giving green signal to some Congress leaders with whom TDP cadre have been fighting all its life. JC Diwakar Reddy from Anantapur, Kasu Mahesh from Guntur, Parthasarathy from Penamaluru
are some such. But these leaders have high chances of winning with the help of TDP traditional vote bank and Chandra Babu do not want to leave back. But cadre is not fully happy.
“It is really tough. We are fighting with JC since Paritala days on roads. Now we have to vote for him and even campaign for him” said Mahesh whose father was a sarpanch in one of the Panchayatis of Tadipatri. Another local leader is of a different opinion, “Every seat is important in a closely contested election. We have to unleash all our weapons as this election is crucial for the party as well as the region. Chandra Babu Sir will take care of every thing”. Such diverse opinions indicate the confusion in cadre. We will have to see how it pans out!
