The dry spell of No Cricket for India fans is finally over. The Famous Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on September 19 with the final to take place on November 8th. The Tournament is shifted out of India due to the Pandemic and will now happen in the UAE.
Ample Safety measures will be put in place for the safe conduct of the tournament. ICC’s decision to postpone the 2020 T20 World Cup helped the Tournament to happen. Team India will head to a Tour of Australia after that. The Test series there is scheduled to start on December 3rd in Brisbane.
The IPL was originally scheduled to start at the end of March but the ongoing pandemic and the travel restrictions that were put in place by the Indian government led to an indefinite postponement. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah are the three main venues that will host 60 matches of IPL.
All the matches will be played without the spectators. Players of various countries will have to undergo mandatory Quarantine and medical tests before taking ground.
