a href=”https://www.m9.news/politics/beware-ac-may-spread-coronavirus/”>Coronavirus scare is gripping the entire globe. Across the globe, there are 2.79 Million cases with around 196K deaths. More than half of the World is in a Lockdown so as to flatten the curve. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of cases in India are 24,506.
So far, there are around 650 cases in the country. International Media seems to be struggling to come in terms with the fact that the mortality rate in the country is much less. The mortality rate in India is around 3%. In developed countries like the United States, the mortality is around 6% or over.
International media published several stories about how the medical infrastructure in India will crumble as the cases will rose due to the high population. But that did not happen as the Government of India immediately responded and imposed the nationwide Lockdown.
Some of the media houses are even publishing stories speculating that India may be under-reporting the numbers. It looks like they are unable to digest the fact that India is better prepared to handle the Crisis than the West.
