Andhra Pradesh Debts, Andhra Pradesh Debts Center Funding, Andhra Pradesh Debts Modi Funding, Andhra Pradesh Debts Special Package, AP Expects Loans FundsBJP led Central government was so insensitive to the needs of the truncated Andhra Pradesh that it took about Three years to clarify that it can not give Special Status to the state, a demand it brought up during the bifurcation and a significant promise it made in the state. The Center had come up with a Special Package which is yet to get the legal ratification.

But during this time the state has lost huge funds over the last three years, while its debt burden has increased manifold during the period to keep the finances and normal routine running. Some of the ambitious promises made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also took a toll on the state exchequer as he can not go on the promises due to political compulsions.

Andhra Pradesh government is expecting an additional funding of 24271.91 Crore for the state exchequer due to the Special Package announced by Union finance minister Arun Jaitley that increased the Centre’s share in both Central Aided Projects (CAP) and External Aided Projects (EAP) to 90 percent from the existing 60 percent.

The Central government has announced this Special Development Package on September 7th which they say will compensate for the Special Status loss. It’s been about two weeks since the announcement has come and it has to get the Union Cabinet ratification for it to come into effect. But the center is sitting on that much to the distress of the state.
