India's First Corona Vaccine To Cost Less Than A Water BottleThis morning, Telangana Minister K Taraka Ramarao visited Bharat Biotech, which manufactures India’s first corona vaccine. KTR discussed with various company bosses of the Genome Valley about the progress of their own Corona vaccines. In this context, Bharat Biotech MD Krishna Ella made key remarks on the corona vaccine they are making.

“We already have a lot of expertise in this vaccine, which comes under the name, Covaxin. The U.S. and the World Health Organization are very supportive of the vaccine. We are working together to fight this common enemy. Our aim is to make the vaccine which will cost less than a Water Bottle,” he said.

In the first phase trials, all the volunteers who are administered the Vaccine have not so far complained of any adverse effect on their health. The doctors have initiated administering its second dose to the volunteers who got the first one 14 days ago.

Phase Two of the Human Trials is likely to begin in the first week of September. Covaxin is likely to be available in the first half of 2021.
