An NHS nurse and her two little daughters were murdered by 52-year-old Saju Chelavalel, 52, of Petherton Court. The deceased were identified as Anju Asok, 35, Jeeva Saju, 6 and Janvi Saju, 4.
Anju Asok and her two children were found with serious injuries at the accused person’s house in Kettering. Chelavalel appeared in Wellingborough Magistrates’ Court, though he just confirmed his name and date of birth.
Asok, who worked at Kettering General Hospital, died at the scene, while her two children died in the hospital later. Post-mortem reports revealed that all three died of asphyxiation or strangling. Her hospital staff remembered Anju Asok as a compassionate and dedicated nurse. Asok was a trained nurse who joined KHS in 2021 and worked in the orthopedic wards.
The neighborhood is in shock, and the police put Neighbourhood Policing Team on patrol in the area.
