It is so unfortunate to see such incidents every day. There is no end to this shameful act of the unruly individuals. An Indian doctor was held by FBI for sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl on the flight. The incident was recorded on July 23rd on the United Airlines flight.
The girl was traveling alone to attend a leadership conference at Princeton. Vijakumar Krishnappa(28) who is on a medical fellowship in the USA has been seated next to the girl who got the window. The girl was asleep and was awakened by an unusual touch on her thigh where Vijakumar was rubbing her thigh. He took back his hand immediately and then the girl went back to sleep again. But the man didn’t stop.
As he noticed that she is asleep, he started to grope her again and tried to get sexual pleasure by rubbing her crotch with his hands through her clothes. This woke the girl up and the girl notified the incident to the Air staff. They moved the places then, but the irony is that the crew didn’t constrain the man after the flight landed with which he escaped.
The girl’s parents filed a complaint against the man with FBI who arrested him and yet Vijakumar claims innocence. Currently, he is out on bond under monitoring.
