Indian, big fat wedding is a norm among the well-heeled Indian-American community in the US. And when the wedding is huge and is set in an exotic location like Turkey and the bride chooses a sought-after wedding photographer, it seems like, well a ‘picture-perfect’ wedding.
But just like in the Bollywood fairytale movies, there are twists and turns in real life too. The father of the bride, a leading surgeon in the US, Dr. Amit Patel, 59, has now filed a lawsuit against Clane Gessel for throwing last-minute tantrums. He is now demanding a refund of $76,000 from the photographer after firing him right before his daughter’s wedding.
Because of the lousy photographer, Patel says his daughter Anisha, 28, had to go for another photographer and he himself had to clamor around to find a suitable replacement for Gessel.
Meanwhile, the four-day celebration in Turkey included 13 custom outfits for the bride, included 250 guests, and a year of planning apart from a feature in Vogue.
