India Today Survey Drastic Fall In Jagan's PopularityAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is dolling out never-before-seen sops but it looks like the people are still not happy. The Mood of the Nation Survey of India Today paints a very grim picture of Jagan’s popularity in Andhra Pradesh.

In the survey about the most popular Chief Ministers across the country (voted by the people of their states), Jagan does not even figure in the Top-10 CMs of the country. In the very poll conducted in August last year, Jagan has been voted the Fourth best Chief Minister in the country.

The survey does not reveal Jagan’s rank but states his approval ratings in Andhra Pradesh have dipped from 11% last year despite the slew of sops and welfare schemes. This is one survey that YSR Congress and its supporters have extensively promoted last year (with the fourth rank). But it looks like the time has changed drastically.

The survey does not list the reasons for the fall but the financial mismanagement, lack of investments, no development, crumbling infrastructure, etc. may have played a role. This is a very dangerous trend because Jagan is not even in the middle of his term and things can go down further from here.

Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao also does not figure in the Top 10 list. So, a course correction is needed for both the friends.
