Central government is gearing up to introduce amendment to Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act in the upcoming Budget session of the Parliament. After the passing of this amendment, three MLC seats in Telangana and eight in Andhra Pradesh will increase.
All the new seats of Telangana will come up in Local Bodies Quota and in AP, three will be from MLAs Quota, three from Local Bodies and two from Governor quota. Four MLC Seats in Graduates and Teachers Quota will become vacant from March 29th.
Notification for these seats will come in the last week of February and these new seats will also officially announced by then. This move will come as huge respite for both the ruling parties as majority of these will be bagged by them and they can satisfy more aspiring leaders by filling up these seats.
